Open Internet Policy

Last updated: June 2026

S Mobile Wireless is committed to providing open access to lawful internet content, applications, and services. This policy describes our network management practices, performance characteristics, and commercial terms as required by FCC rules.

Network management

We use reasonable network management practices to maintain a high-quality experience for all customers. During periods of high congestion, customers who have used very large amounts of data in a billing cycle may experience reduced speeds until the network is less congested. We do not block lawful content or applications, throttle specific services, or favor any provider over another.

Performance

  • Typical 5G download speeds: 75–300 Mbps.
  • Typical 4G LTE download speeds: 10–50 Mbps.
  • Typical latency: 30–60 ms.
  • Actual speeds vary by location, device, signal strength, and network load.

Commercial terms

Plan prices, included data, and any speed thresholds are disclosed on the plan detail page and on your monthly bill. We do not charge customers different rates based on the content they access.

Questions and complaints

Contact customerservice@smobilewireless.com with any concerns about our network management. You may also file an informal complaint with the FCC.

No blocking

S Mobile Wireless does not block lawful content, applications, services, or non-harmful devices on its consumer broadband internet access service, subject to reasonable network management and the terms of your plan.

No throttling

We do not impair or degrade lawful internet traffic on the basis of content, application, service, user, or use of a non-harmful device, subject to reasonable network management. Customers on capped or de-prioritized plans may experience reduced speeds after exceeding plan thresholds; the threshold is disclosed on the plan page.

No paid prioritization

We do not favor some lawful internet traffic over other lawful traffic in exchange for monetary or other consideration from a third party (paid prioritization), nor do we prioritize the traffic of our affiliates.

Application-specific behavior

S Mobile Wireless does not single out particular applications or classes of applications for special treatment beyond reasonable network management described above. Specialized services that share network capacity with broadband (for example, voice calling and Wireless Emergency Alerts) are engineered so as not to meaningfully degrade broadband performance.

Device attachment rules

You may attach any non-harmful device that meets industry technical standards (e.g., FCC-certified, supports our network bands, properly authenticates). We may require certification or registration of a device to ensure it does not harm the network.

Security practices

We use traffic monitoring, fraud detection, and abuse mitigation to protect customers and the network from spam, malware, denial-of-service attacks, and other harms. These measures are applied uniformly and are not used to disadvantage particular content or providers.

Privacy of broadband customer information

Our handling of broadband customer information is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell customer broadband data, and we follow FCC and FTC guidance on transparency, choice, and security.

Commercial terms — additional disclosures

  • Pricing, fees, and data thresholds are listed on each plan page and on your monthly invoice.
  • Privacy practices are described in our Privacy Policy.
